The Simone family's real estate experience grew out of building businesses of its own. At Brunswick Circle in Lawrence Township, John Simone Sr. developed a group of businesses that included a service station, an appliance store, a liquor store and Circle Lanes. His goal was to create lasting income and opportunity for his family. Doing that meant developing the property, investing in the businesses and staying involved in their daily operation.
Circle Lanes became a familiar gathering place for the community. Alongside the family's other ventures, it connected the success of a business to the property it occupied and the people it served. Ownership, development and operations were part of the family's experience from the beginning.
John Simone, Jr. carried that experience into commercial real estate, establishing Simone Realty in 1976. The firm built on an approach already rooted in the family: commit your own capital, understand the work firsthand and build relationships that last.
What followed was five decades of investment, development and advisory work shaped by the practical experience of owning businesses and property. Medical and professional office buildings that house the doctors, attorneys and business owners who serve their communities. Retail centers that anchor neighborhoods. Development and redevelopment projects that give properties new purpose and create places for businesses and communities to grow. Advisory work that helped Capital Health navigate site acquisition and entitlement for its regional hospital in Hopewell Township.
Today, Simone Realty is led by John Simone, Jr. and his son John Mastrosimone, two generations carrying that experience forward. Their ownership and development background is complemented by Rob Loverro's institutional investment experience and Renée Kucowski's decades of portfolio operations and tenant relationships. Together, they bring an understanding of real estate that extends from the investment decision to the everyday demands of operating a property.
That experience matters to the people we advise. We understand how a location can shape a business, how development decisions affect a property's future and how responsibilities continue long after a transaction closes. Those lessons inform the advice we give and the commitments we make.
The work has changed. The markets have grown. But the approach has never wavered.
